Make decisions and establish priorities on procedure-oriented operations. Work in an independent manner with limited supervision. Possess the ability to assume and carry out "tech-in-charge" duties, including the ability to direct the activities of staff or functions, when necessary. Mainitain constructive, ipen communication with supervisors, coworkers and customers. Demonstrate an awareness of patient/client expectations and seek to satisfy.

Demonstrate initial and annual competency in designated lab sections, including phlebotomy.

Assist lab leadership in the completion of miscellaneous duties.

Share daily workload within the laboratory. Make a contribution to section and department objectives.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:
Required - Graduate of accredited school of Medical Techno! logy/Clinical Laboratory Science.

Preferred - 1-2 yea! rs experience as Medical Laboratory Technician

EDUCATION:
Required - Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related science.

Preferred - Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology

Certification:
Required - Registry eligible, ASCP or equivalent

Continuing education to maintain certification/licensure is required.

Preferred - MLT(ASCP) or equivalent. Certification/Licensure in a specialty area will be considered. Continuing education to maintain certification/licensure is required.
