Pfizer Consumer Healthcare is looking for a Principal Scientist to join our Analgesics team at our R&D Tech Center in Richmond, VA.

JOB SUMMARY

This is a technical leade! rship position within an established product design group resp! onsible for the development of global consumer healthcare products. This individual must be a highly competent, productive scientist experienced in the principles and practices of pharmaceutical formulation development. The individual will lead technical aspects of product development from early prototype design to process validation. The individual must be highly autonomous, have the functional knowledge to design experiments and conduct research, and will be called upon to mentor other scientists. This position requires traveling in support of business needs at a level of approximately 25%.

The individual must also possess a high degree of empathy for consumers and have passion for developing optimal products/packaging that fit consumer needs and lifestyles. The individual will be expected to lead execution of product research and to grow and develop skill in consumer & sensory product research methodologies and analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This p! osition will be responsible for a wide range of activities in support of product development, including:

  • Developing solid, semi-solid and liquid prototypes in the laboratory and guiding the work of other technical staff.
  • Overseeing scale-up and tech transfer to global production sites, both internal and to third parties.
  • Actively planning sub-group workload and resources on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Participating in Project Team meetings and providing strategic direction regarding product development.
  • Consulting management prior to making key sensitive and high impact direction.
  • Representing Product Design interests in due diligence visits.
  • Conceptualizing and leading non-project initiatives in accordance with division business needs.
  • Mentoring less experienced scientists

Qualifications

Degree should be in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field with relevance to pharmaceutical formulation development. Some level of proficiency in a second language is desirable but not required.

DESCRIPTION

Project Description :
In this role candidate will be responsible for planning, monitoring/controlling, administration, and execution of multiple projects (using waterfall and/or agile methodologies) to meet our business needs in accord with our organizational priorities, quality, budget, and time constraints.

Essential Functions:
Planning

  • Schedule and facilitate sprint planning meeting(s) prior to the beginning of each sprint in accord with the scrum fundamentals.
  • After Sprint Detail Planning has been completed communicate to the backlog owner the teams committed stories for the upcoming sprint.
  • Support the Backlog Owner and Portfolio Manager in updating monthly the 30-60-90 day release roadmap based on the health and priority of the stories on the b! acklog and planning poker estimates/sizing.
Executi! on
  • Schedule and facilitate daily stand up meeting @ same time and same location each day in accord with the scrum fundamentals.
  • Represent the team daily at the scrum of scrum's (S2) meeting to report progress against burndown, if deviating from the ideal burndown line then communicate teams plan/commitment to get back to the line, report impediments for escalation, identify risks/concerns to the S3 to help resolve.
  • Shield the team from external interferences, facilitate removing impediments that impact the teams ability to meet their commitments, enable close cooperation across all roles and functions with the goal of removing barriers.
  • Coordinate with the Backlog Owner and Technical Lead in ensuring the team is prepared to do the demo or Sprint Review at the end of each sprint.
  • Manages external vendor deliveries within committed scope of sprint and manages external team deliveries.
Monitoring / Controlling
  • Monitor daily issues impacting the team in VersionOne, if the team is not able to resolve the issue/impediment and needs to be escalated then report it at the Scrum of Scrum's (S2) meeting.
  • Monitor daily the information radiators (VersionOne or white/cork boards, if team is utilizing) and ensure they accurately reflect the current state, including time and status.
  • Report weekly (or as agreed with business sponsor) the status of the projects your scrum team is supporting.
  • Provide the Release Managers with the list of backlog items being released to production with the upcoming sprint.
  • Coordinate as needed with other internal Project Managers and/or external vendor Project Managers the delivery of components.
  • Provide feedback as needed to Resource Managers to adequately staff the team for each sprint.
  • Ensure team productivity by fostering creativity, empowerment, and accountability within the team.
  • Provides ! issue status on all external vendor deliverables and feedback to Produc! t owner and Vertical team leaders on vendor delivery.
  • Administration
    • Actively participate in the Scrum Community of Practice, recommend and approve best practices and innovations on the Pulse site.
    • Facilitate a project closure retrospective meeting at the end of each project in accord with scrum fundamentals.
    • Conduct periodic peer reviews of other Scrum Masters/Project Managers.
    • Monitor the Pulse site for Sprint Teams and ensure the team page accurately reflects the current state.
    Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree in finance, accounting, business, engineering, mathematics or statistics or applicable field
    • 3+ Years Project Management experience
    • 2+ Years as Scrum Master to one or more teams
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Project Management Institute Certification and /or SCRUM Master certification
    • At least 5 years of Project Management ex! perience
    • At least 4 years as Scrum Master to one or more teams
    • At least 1 year People Management experience
    • At least 1 year providing coaching to teams on scrum fundamentals and best practices.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to tell a story in a compelling way, how to use audio in the telling of that story, and how to pack a lot of stories into a short period of time. We need news people who can not only hustle tape, but realize the importance of making sure the website and Facebook are updated quickly as well. Website maintenance abilities are a plus.

    Required Skills

    Adhere to all g! uidelines, policies and procedures of the station, Clear Chann! el Communications, Inc., the FCC and all other federal, state and local laws.

    Adequate preparation for an air shift with use of creativity, imagination and exercise of independent professional judgment in writing, producing, interviewing, taping or broadcasting of on-air material.

    Personality must be upbeat, informative and entertaining and be able to relate to station audience

    Ensure logged commercials, promotions and any other programming essential to the stations operation are aired

    Must be current with relevant daily material

    Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding indecency and obscenity.

    Work an approved and previously agreed upon air shift.

    Maintain a website personality page. Must be kept up-to-date with relevant material that is appropriate for the given station.

    Search out and share all possible web content with the Program Director and Online Content Director of the given stat! ion.

    Be on call for possible disasters, breaking news, or acts of nature.

    Be an ambassador for the radio station when out in public. Maintain a positive and approachable attitude when around listeners and clients.

    Required Experience

    Three years of on-air radio experience required, excellent verbal and communication skills, outstanding ability to relate and communicate with target audience, positive attitude both on and off the air

    Familiar with NexGen, Vox Pro, and Pro Tools

    Strong knowledge of all FCC rules and regulations.

    Applicants must possess a strong work ethic, be well-read, punctual, and be a team player with a cooperative attitude

    Description: Govig and Associates is employing Director Regulatory Affairs, Pipeline right now, this job will be assigned in Virginia. Seeking a Director of Regulatory Affairs to deliver the regulatory strategy visions for the development of pipeline products with timely marekting approval - globally. Must be a! strong, seasoned leader and regultaory expert in US and Ex-US regulations with extensive experience and knowledge of the drug development process with focus on CMC, preclinical and clinical areas.

    This role requires 5 years of direct management experience, a BS, MS, or PhD in biomedical science, and around 15 years of relevant regulatory pharmaceutical experience with FDA and/or EU.
