Supplier will provide personnel with the following qualifications and skills to perform the required Servi! ces:
a) General Description:
This is a mid-level E-commerce position requiring a minimum of bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or has equivalent work experience. Must have at least 5 years’ experience in full life cycle software development . Must have strong Weblogic application server administration [ Oracle WebLogic] experience on UNIX and Microsoft systems, and strong communication and documentation skills. Be able to lead Weblogic intallations, Develpe documentation, assist developers, implementation and provide Vendor interface support with Oracle..
b) Typical Duties:
This person is an Weblogic Subject Matter Expert for the organization to provide new Releases, project planning and technical support to the Application Integrators and Client's application business owners. This resource will be the primary point of contact for the Weblogic application. In this role, the individual will ensure Weblogic appli! cation readiness compliance; propose architectural solutions t! o support application requirements for high availability, reliability, security, etc.; work with clients to provide future release information project schedules and provide appropriate communications. Must be willing to handle complexity and troubleshoot various technical scenarios on various software platforms.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday (day-time). Some overtime and on-call will be required.
c) Required Skills and/or Product Knowledge:
Education requirements include a B.S. degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related degree or equivalent work experience.
Technical skill requirements include the following:
- Five years experience in Oracle Weblogic installation, clustering, performance tuning and troubleshooting for Weblogic servers
- Three years of Weblogic and/or WebLogic architecture experience including design, administration, configuration and integration with COTS products! .
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience with Weblogic 10.3.x server installation, configuration, upgrade, performance tuning and environment issue troubleshooting
- WebLogic Certification
- Infrastructure and Application Delivery lifecycles from installation, integration, maintenance, middleware, and applications across the enterprise
- Develop and maintain deployment standards for Weblogic installation across the enterprise
- Experience with production monitoring tools such as BMC Patrol and Java Code profiling tools like JProbe.
- Analyze security alerts, audit findings and implement security patches
- Experience in integrating and deploying applications on Weblogic and/or WebLogic in a shared hosting environment
- Java, Java EE Enterprise, Web Services experience with development background.
- Experience with vendor support and process flow to resolve product related issues
- XML and Web Serv! ices (3 -5 years experience)
- Experience in Performance Tuning ! Applications (3 â€" 5 years)
- Understanding of Various Software Platforms including: Siteminder, WebFocus, Oracle db, SQL db, DB2 Connect, Sun Identity Manager, and LDAP.
- Experience with various network protocols and load balancing algorithms, failover and clustering.
- Experience with enterprise-level with significant security, performance and high availability requirements
- Working knowledge of production Web hosting environments is required
- UNIX and Shell Scripting (3 - 5 years)
- Strong knowledge of Solaris 10 administration
- Strong knowledge of HTTP and HTTPS
- Knowledge of TCP/IP troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of other Internet protocols (e.g., DNS, LDAP, Telnet, SMTP, SNMP)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to produce written documentation (procedures and work instructions)
- Knowledge of Perl, Korn, or Jython
- Strong knowledge of a w! eb products (SunOne, Apache, or IPlanet) â€" 3 yearsr
- Ability to coach junior administrators, foster new talent
- Ability to work effectively in a team, and with clients
- Demonstration of initiative and results oriented with flexibility and tenacity, and the ability to continuously adjust priorities to reflect changing circumstances
- Strong diplomacy, assertiveness, influencing skills with commitment and ability to work in a dynamic cross-organizational team environment

General requirements include extensive use of Microsoft Word; along with potential use of Excel, Access, and/or PowerPoint if applicable. Superior verbal and written communication; attention to detail; and strong organizational skills.
Experience in an ITIL environment is preferred.
