Description

Responsible for the in-house collection of consumer loan charged off credit losses or bankruptcy losses. May negotiate payment arrangem! ents and settlements by telephone/written correspondence to the client. May initiate suite against the client, docket property, garnish wages or bank accounts, or filing of claims. May refer accounts for attorneys and agency assignment. Duties may include inbound or outbound calls, negotiating payments, recommending accounts for repossession and legal action, inputting data into system, performing skip-tracing functions, and accurately completing any paperwork. Ensures bank collection policies and procedures are followed. Typically 3 or more years recovery, customer service, or telemarketing experience; responsible for conducting docket reviews and editing, inputting data into the system, and handling foreclosures. Acts as bank representative at court hearings. May train junior staff members; may act as working leader over a group of recovery specialists.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of recovery, client service, or telemarketing! experience.

Ability to conduct docket reviews.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
3 to 4 years of legal recovery experience.

Experience working with foreclosures or bankruptcy.
