ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SUPERVISOR

Description: Dept of Medical Asst Services is looking of ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SUPERVISOR right now, this job will be delegated in Virginia. Fiscal and Purchasing Division - This position is responsible for supervising accounts receivable (AR) provider and recipient overpayment and other activities of th! e Department. The incumbent assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the State Comptroller's directives and federal regulations relating to accounts receivable, as well as maintaining accurate and timely accounts receivable records and reports for medical providers and recipients who owe funds to the Department arising from provider overpayment activities.

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have considerable knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles; accounts receivable management; automated accounting systems and applications, and state accounts receivable policies and procedures. Requires proficiency using the PC for both mainframe and PC-based applications. Must have experience with automated accounts receivable and state accounting systems. Requires experience with Oracle Financials, Commonwealth Accounting and Reporting System (CARS), and knowledge of state and federal ! monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements. Must ha! ve proven experience to supervising professional staff of five or more in a professional accounting environment. Requires ability to analyze information and solve problems creatively, prioritize and manage workload, interpret changing regulations, and implement policies and procedures. Must have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and prepare reports converting complex financial data. Graduate from an accredited college or university with major in accounting or business preferred or a combination of professional experience and training.
