ColonialWebb is seeking an experienced IT Support individual to provide technology support for our field construction operations. Based out of our Richmond, VA corporate office, this position requires significant travel to! jobsites within the state (primarily Central Virginia) to help jobsite staff with printing, plotting, network connectivity, and general Windows desktop support.

Additional duties include application installation and support, transport and deployment of preconfigured laptops, daily support of end user problem resolution, lifecycle of existing equipment and support of users in helping the users log into and set up the environment on new equipment.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in a computer technology related field or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience

One to three years of verifiable application/IT helpdesk support in offsite support in a call center environment.

Ability to troubleshoot issues with desktops (to include laptops), printers, and basic network issues such as locked user accounts, and remote access issues.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems over the phone

Workin! g knowledge of current network topology and Microsoft Active D! irectory

Basic understanding of TCP/IP network troubleshooting in a WAN/LAN environment to include familiarity with WAP (wireless access points) and other types of 4G access points such as MIFI’s.

Advanced analytical, problem solving and decision making skills

Ability to work independently and exercise balanced judgment

Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

High level of patience, empathy and courtesy

Able to work with a diverse end user base from experienced technology users to users who need help performing certain new computer based activities

Ability to identify and communicate trends and work with department team members to define corrective action to ensure a consistent end user experience.

Ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with internal and external customers.

Capable of handling a dynamic and fast paced workload.

Ability to prioritize, coordinate and p! erform multiple activities effectively and in a timely manner.

Certain product demonstrations may require specialized talent, experience, expertise! , skills, knowledge, certification, or duties in order to be eligible to conduct a particular event. If an associate does not satisfy the particular requirements for the specialized event, he/she would remain eligible for the standard, non-specialized events otherwise available to all associates in the position (to the extent such positions are available). Examples of the talent, experience, expertise, skills, knowledge, certification, or duties which may be required to conduct a specialized event include (without limitation): ability to satisfy requirements necessary to conduct product demonstrations involving alcoholic beverages; Food Safety Certification; Responsible Alcohol Server Certification, ability to conduct hot and/or cold food preparation (including without limitation use and handling of sharp objects, cooking appliances, and other food-related tools/equipment); video game /other consumer electronics knowledge, skills, and experience
Ability to work required! schedule for this program
Access to a computer and a phone on a da! ily basis
Satisfactory completion of background check/drug testing subject to applicable law.

Other Requirements
Must perform the job safely and utilize proper safety techniques and use of equipment when appropriate.

Never (0% of shift): Sit, operate mechanical machinery, be exposed to harmful fumes and/or other pollutants, and lift and carry over 74 pounds.
Occasionally (up to 33% of time): Push, pull, work on unprotected heights, be exposed to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and lift and/or carry up to ! 74 pounds (light to heavy work level).
Frequently (33-66%): ! Bend and/or stoop, crawl and/or climb, and kneel.
Continuously (66-100% of shift): Stand, walk, use feet and/or legs for repetitive motion, and use hands and/or arms for repetitive motion.
