TITLE: Receiving, Shipping and Yard Control Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Assistant Plant Manager
LOCATION: Cupples Products - Richmond, VA
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate all aspects of receiving and shipping to include damage inspections, maintaining yard inventory/conducting physical counts and pulling materials for production use.
Prepare and analyze inventory, material usage and on-time delivery reports.
Understand production build schedules.
Maintain receiving and shipping tracking records and time logs to ensure timelines and material needs are met.
Coordinate logistics to and from yard. Provide ongoing monitoring of material distribution and stock levels t! o ensure safe and efficient flow of materials.
Generate sy! stem documentation including packing slips, material costs and transaction history.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent.
2 years shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
Computer experience i.e. Excel, Word Processing, etc.
Valid forklift license.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to multi-task, exercise mature judgment and pay attention to detail.
Effective communication skills supported by a philosophy of continuous improvement and standardization of work.
General mechanical aptitude and fabrication experience is a plus.
Physical demands include frequent lifting, standing and climbing.
