Program Support Technician
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Description: VA Commonwealth Univ is looking of Program Support Technician right now, this position will be placed in Virginia. Provide travel and personal reimbursement support to project staff of large, highly active federal contracts and sponsored projects. Assist individuals with transition to the ! new Chrome River VCU Passport. Serve as primary point of contact for policy and procedural questions on travel and personal reimbursements, applying knowledge of VCU and federal travel regulations. Assist with special accommodations requests for contract activities. Coordinate materials distribution for contract events. Provide other administrative support, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge and experience in working with local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations. Knowledge of VCU and federal travel regulations. Experience processing travel and personal reimbursement requests in the Chrome River VCU Passport. Ability to apply and interpret existing university and federal policies, procedures, laws, and regulations concerning the projects assigned. Excellent computer skills, use of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and Word. Ability to be precise, thorough, reliable, work independently, adapt to frequent changes in work assignmen! ts, and possess the abilities to reason, think logically and a! nalyze situations to achieve resolution of problems or concerns. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills necessary. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Bachelorâ??s degree in Business or related field preferred, or equivalent experience. Previous experience in travel and personal reimbursements for federal grants and contracts preferred. Experience in working in a fast-paced and diverse environment.
