University Facilities is currently developing a list of Auxiliary Custodians to be called in as needed on multiple shifts.
These part-time employees will perform ! routine cleaning tasks in offices, restrooms, classrooms, and/or residence halls as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills:
This position requires knowledge of commercial cleaning, chemical usage and use and care of cleaning equipment.
Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing.
Must be neat in appearance and adhere to the University's uniform policy.
Prefer previous commercial cleaning experience.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the cleanliness of assigned work areas to include cleaning of all surfaces using established housekeeping procedures, proper chemical usage, removal of trash and provision of all necessary paper products. (85%)
Responsible for floor and carpet care to include mopping floors and vacuuming. (10%)
Responsible for snow removal at building entrances when required. (5%)
