Description
Facilities Support Technician
Location: Richmond, VA
Description:
The Facilities Technician provides support for all employees regarding flow of office materials. Handles all stockroom duties to include shipping, receiving and tracking. In this position, the employee will work with internal and external clients to support mailroom, stockroom and related activities.
Responsibilities include:
Distributes incoming packages and oversees outgoing packages
Distributes incoming mail and supports outgoing mail
Maintains inventory of all supplies for lab
Support inter-office mail and correspondence
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of stockroom or warehouse work experience.
Must include experience with shipping systems operations, inventory management.
Strong comput! er skills (use of MS Office, Internet and Email)
Pref! er candidates with lab related experience
Experience with Lawson computer software or similar experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of shipping service operations and software (ie: FedEx, UPS, USPS etc)
Maturity and good judgment
Ability to lift boxes up to 50 pounds if needed
Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines as assigned
