Current Need This position will work primarily with the JD Edwards ERP software, including software upgrades and other related system integration projects. The Quality Assurance Analyst assures that both! quality assurance and quality control practices are followed ! to assure a) software is delivered with an acceptable level of risk, b) software functions according to user requirements and c) software is delivered within established guidelines. Must be able to quickly understand complex, integrated business processes. Works on a variety of projects concurrently with a wide variety of scope, integration and complexity. Leads a team including internal customers, developer(s) and business analyst(s) to collaboratively create and execute test plans using judgment within MMS defined Quality Assurance Standards to select tools, testing methods and coverage. Evaluates a diverse set of software requirements and uses vision to decide testing methods and tools to employ. Consults with project team to recommend changes to business processes.
Position Description Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to esta! blishment guidelines. Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to ascertain quality of software. Reviews new or modified program, including documentation, diagram, and flowchart, to determine if program will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines. May review computer operating log to identify program processing errors. Tests program for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to establishment standards. May identify differences between establishment standards and user applications and suggest modifications to conform to standards. May conduct compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs.
Minimum Requirements 4+ years experience in software and/or program testing.
Critical Skills
Experience with ERP systems.
Detailed knowledge in testing and evaluating performance of programs/applications/software.
Additional Knowledge & Skills!
Preferred Qualifications:
JD Edwards is prefered Knowledge of HP Application Lifecycle Management desired.
Distribution industry experience helpful.
Inventory knowledge is preferred.
Education 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
