POSITION OVERVIEW The Systems Analyst II position involves the design, implementation, project management, and maintaining of University Health System’s Core Applications and the support! of its end users. This position will also be responsible to the stakeholders of the application which includes members of the organization, through consulting, assisting with design issues, and technical problem solving. This position will also be responsible for planning, and developing enhancements to the application by working with developers as well as applying upgrades, service packs and hot fixes. POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Providing extensive support to various departments by gathering business requirements, assessing needs, and designing new IT solutions to improve business efficiency and productivity.

Experienced in using information system resources and in managing requirements process with end users. Proven ability to effectively facilitate requirements-gathering sessions with end users., to perform gap analysis as is vs. to be, to collect, analyze and document existing and new business requirements, to translate business requirements into a s! olution design (functional and technical requirements document! s) Work closely with developers and end users to ensure technical compatibility and end user satisfaction. Implementation, configuration, testing and post implementation support.

Proven ability to conduct end-to-end business process activities - creating, controlling and improving business processes and map processes. Assess the needs of the end user and translate them into program requirements. Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Access, Oracle andor IBM DB2. Proven ability to design business intelligence solutions though the use of Microsoft SQL Server SSIS, SSRS, Crystal Reports andor Microsoft SharePoint.

Has base knowledge of web technologies such as Microsoft IIS, Javascript, HTML, ASP.NET andor PHP. Base knowledge of Microsoft Windows server configuration, management and administration. Base knowledge of Microsoft Office SharePoint administration and management. Base knowledge of development with Microsoft development technologies! .

Excellent communication skills â€" oral written and presentation. Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines Familiarity with key managed care functions including claims, enrollment, and Medical Management MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS BABS degree in Computer Science or Information Systems andor 3-4 years overall IT experience as a BusinessSystems Analyst. Minimum 2-4 years experience in business analyses specializing in requirements gathering, analyses and documentation. Minimum 2-4-years experience in building business intelligence solutions Minimum 2-4 years experience in application support and troubleshooting.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE ANDOR SKILLS Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products Project Management software Windows Operating Systems Professional 2000, XP, VISTA, Windows 7 Server 2003 and 2008. Microsoft Internet Information Services, Microsoft Office SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008, SSI! S, SSRS, and Crystal ReportsBusiness Objects. Prior experience with vir! tualization such as VM Ware or VPC. Experience in supporting end-users in a corporate environment Excellent communication skills Documentation and requirements gathering, conducting interviews.

Prior development experience is a plus.
