Patient Advocate Enrollment Specialist

Location: Richmond, Virginia

Description: The Mergis Group is presently looking of Patient Advocate Enrollment Specialist right now, this occupation will be settled in Virginia. Detailed specification about this occupation opportunity kindly see the descriptions. The Mergis Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Patient Advocate Enrollment Specialist. The position is full-time Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. An ev! ening shift from 5pm-9pm.

Responsibilities for this position will include assisting patients in completion of application processes for State, Federal, and private medical assistance programs in an office setting. The Patient Advocate serves as a liaison between patients, hospital clients and outside agencies in order to facilitate eligibility processes for enrollments in accordance with ACA (Affordable Care Act). This individual is an advocate for both patients and hospital clients by ensuring that patients are covered appropriately and hospitals receive the reimbursement to which they are entitled.

Requirements

Job requirements include the following:
Complete and submit forms and additional documents to appropriate agencies.
Screen hospital patients for medical assistance program eligibility.
Maintain case notation and update all applicable systems.
Monitor status of each case while communicating effectively with multiple ! parties.

Preferred skills/experience:
Prev! ious healthcare insurance enrollment knowledge/experience.
Strong data entry and word processing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products 2007-2010.
Understanding of web-based applications.
Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
