PROGRAM OPERATIONS DIVISION DIRECTOR

Location: Richmond, Virginia

Description: Dept of Medical Asst Services is in need of PROGRAM OPERATIONS DIVISION DIRECTOR right now, this position will be situated in Virginia. Exciting opportunity to provide executive leadership and direction for the Program Operations Division within the state Medicaid agency. The Program Operations! Division is responsible for network management, provider and customer service, and administrative responsibilities related to payment of health care claims, processing and maintenance of member and provider enrollment, the Medicaid transportation broker contract, and a variety of other operational activities that support and implement the policies of the Medicaid program. The Division has extensive responsibilities related to the fiscal agent contract and collaborates with the Information Management Division, defining business requirements and testing/validating subsystem changes, including change to provider, member, claim, and reference files.

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires executive level management experience. Requires considerable experience developing and managing operations of large-scale programs in a similar environment. Applicants must have comprehensive knowledge of operations, systems, and project management. Must have knowledge! of Medicaid and CMS policies and regulations. Requires extens! ive knowledge of provider and client relations. Requires demonstrated ability to plan and direct large scale programs and activities. Proven ability to implement, problem solve, and evaluate programs. Must have proven ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with a variety of individuals. Bachelor's degree in business, public, or hospital administration, or related discipline preferred; advanced degree strongly preferred.
