• 1 Circulates cases as it relates to unit scope of care.
• 2 Understands principles of aseptic technique and re! quirements for scrubbing cases as it relates to

unit scope of care.

• 3 Exercises sound judgement and decision-making skills on behalf of patient, self, and peers.
• 4 Pursues own professional growth through continuing education and inservices.
• 5 Communicates effectively with staff, peers, director, external and internal customers.
• 6 Organizes work to complete duties effective and efficiently.
• 7 Serves as a professional member of the OR team.
• 8 Demonstrates competency in providing patient/family education.

9 Adheres to hospital policies and procedures; supports the mission of the hospital.

EXPERIENCE

Required - Current Virginia License, completion of Peri-Operative Course or previous experience as a Peri-perative O.R. Nurse.

Preferred - Current Virginia License, minimum of one year Med/Surg experience. Previous CORT prior to licensed as R.N.

EDUCATION
Required - Graduate of accredited school of nursing with cur! rent license in the State of Virginia.
