State: Virginia - City: Richmond - Denomination: - Description: The Light Community Church has a new and exciting opening for a Church Business Administr! ator. This is position currently classified as a part-time, non-benefited opportunity, scheduled to work 20 hours/week. The Administrator will assist in coordinating all church office activities. S/he will work directly with the pastor, ministry leaders, and other office volunteer staff. This individual must be able to effectively communicate and manage incoming visitors, phone calls, mail, and other church business matters as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Commitment to confidentiality of personal information of the congregation and staff.
Cordial and professional conduct and excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with all staff and members of the congregation and to build solid relations as expected in a Christian environment.
Must have reliable transportation and timely attendance with abilit! y to vary schedule when needed.
Self motivated with t! he ability to work with minimum supervision.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with ability to manage priorities and workflow.
Experience using social media applications.
Demonstrated level of proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher) required.
At least two years of professional administrative experience with some business school training or related classes are required.
QuickBooks experience is preferred.
Financial and accounting experience is preferred.
Graphic design skills are a plus.
Effective writing skills is essential to include drafting policies and procedures, business correspondence.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong organization skills.
Must be able to learn new skills or upgrade level and skills.
