- 1 Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
- 2 Performs all general diagnostic radiographic procedures.
- 3 Observant of patients conditions.
- 4 Practices radiation safety as described in Federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy.
- 5 Understands and operates electronic information systems.
- 6 Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.
- 7 Operates mobile radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment within the department, in the OR
- 8 Administers contrast media as required.
- 9 Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of diagnostic
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
Required - Successful completion of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
(ARRT Eligible), Current Registration by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and/or current Commo! nwealth of Virginia License to Practice as a Radiologic Techno! logist.
Preferred -One year experience as Radiologic Technologist in hospital environment.
EDUCATION
Required -Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
ARRT registered.
CPR eligible.
Preferred -As above, with successful completion of formal computer courses.
CPR certified.
