Description
Responsible for providing data governance services in direct alignment and support of Business Information needs.
Performs core Data Governance tasks and! is accountable for key deliverables within: (1) Meta Data/Data Standards, (2) Data Quality, (3) Reference Data, and (4) Data Change Management.
Coordinates and collaborates with multiple partners within designated LOB/Function(s), including but not limited to data analysis and data steward teams, etc.
Adheres to enterprise Data Governance processes, policies, standards, tools and template usage.
Other responsibilities include:
·
Responsible for a small-size portfolio of system or LOB.
·
Develops, maintains and publishes less complex business data definitions to central Meta data repository via data analysis and standard processing.
·
Conducts cross-impact analysis with other data governance teams, correlates technical meta data, and establishes data lineage.
·
Tasks are usually assigned through email box.
·
Facilitates Root Cause Analysis with LOB’s! by utilizing the stewardship list for contacts, determining p! arties impacted, setting up Due Diligence report to review, facilitating meeting and approvals.
·
Executes standard process for requirements, development, testing, cross-impact analysis and approval of reference data changes prior to production publication.
·
Aligns and executes standard change management process to address data specific changes.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
·
Bachelor’s degree
in technical or business related fields (e.g., finance, accounting, computer science, computer engineering, MIS, or quantitative discipline) or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience
·
Ability or aptitude for data governance/management (meta data, data quality, and master data)
·
Ability or aptitude for change management, quality assurance/integrity measures and compliance activities regarding data
·
Abili! ty to profile, develop, test and validate data related changes
Preferred Requirements:
·
Experience in data governance/management (meta data, data quality, and master data)
·
6 months of exposure to or experience of change management, quality assurance/integrity measures and compliance activities regarding data
·
6 months of exposure to or experience of data governance and analysis tools (i.e., IBM, Ab Initio, Informatica, Dataflux, TOAD, DB2, Access, Excel, SAS, etc.)
·
General knowledge of accounting and/or finance fundamentals and related business techniques supporting those functions.
·
Knowledge of source systems such as Compass and Deposits.
