Department/Location: Loss Prevention/This position will be based out of our Richmond market and will cover 10 stores.
Reports To: Regional Director of Loss Prevention
The District Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for:
- The management and maintenance of the Loss Prevention programs and initiatives.* Improving operational execution and shrink performance by teaching company processes and enforcing policies and procedures.* Initiating and managing the investigation of dishonest employees and customers.
- Support and promote company values related customer! service.* Develop strong, customer focused relationships with! Operations and Human Resources partners.* Implement, coordinate, and manage all aspects of the Loss Prevention function as directed.* Work with district and store management to identify priorities and develop appropriate shrinkage reduction strategies.* Take part in or lead teaching, training and developing loss prevention, operational, safety and new store related topics.* Schedule and conduct required loss prevention, firearms, operations and safety related audits.* Direct physical inventory preparation, execution and variance research processes.* Support the Inventory Control department in audit capacity during physical inventories.* Proactively monitor controls and conduct local and remote surveillance to identify possible dishonest activity - internal and external.* Utilize POS exception reporting tool to identify and react to suspicious activity and training opportunities.* Respond to and investigate all instances of reported and suspected associate dishonesty and co! nduct integrity and witness interviews as needed.* Effectively network to investigate and address (ORT) Organized Retail Theft.* Work with stores and distribution centers to resolve issues that involve the flow of goods.* Complete new store security alarm, CCTV system reviews and provide appropriate system sign-offs for alarm vendor.* Support special events and emergencies which may include providing or supplementing security converge or coordinating contract services.
- Seven years of Loss Prevention experience or related retail experience with at least three years in a multi-unit environment.* Interview/Interrogation training and practical skills (Wicklander- Zulawski preferred)* 4 year college degree or equivalent experience preferred* Posses a valid driver's license* Successfully pass comprehensive criminal background and motor vehicle checks
- Loss Prevention Qualified (LPQ) ! preferred* Loss Prevention Certified (LPC) preferred* Certified Forensi! c Interview (CFI) preferred* Advanced level of administration and technical knowledge of Loss Prevention systems and shrinkage controls* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively* Strong problem solving and decision-making skills * Solid conflict management skills with the ability to work alone in stressful situations* Ability and willingness to travel and stay overnight as necessary (air travel may be required) * Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays appropriate to retail business needs* Must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability* Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, store associates and customers* Must be able to keep confidences and consistently operate in a di
