Junior Mechanical Engineer

Description: Action-Tech is at present looking to employ Junior Mechanical Engineer right now, this job will be placed in Virginia. The Junior Mechanical Engineer (EIT) will be responsible to assist with the design and construction of HVAC systems and components. This includes piping & duct systems, conducting HVAC ! load calculations, conducting energy studies, and selecting equipment (air handling units, pumps, etc.). Also, survey existing building systems for renovation projects, and construction administration tasks. This position supports/works under the guidance of a Mechanical PE.
This position is in Richmond, VA. A local candidate is preferred but for the right candidate there would be relocation.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful Mechanical Engineer should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering coupled with at least 1 year of professional experience designing HVAC systems for commercial facilities.
AutoCAD and/or Revit skills required (Revit preferred).
Proficient in MS Office â€" Word, Excel, and Outlook.
DESIRED SKILLS
Experience writing specs (AIA Masterspec a plus), CA experience -- construction progress inspections & submittal review.
Knowledge of Trane Trace load 700 program or other commercial loa! d program a plus
